"NIŠAVSKA REGATA" A SIGNIFICANT TOURISM POTENTIAL

Winner of the18th Nisavska regatta, which is supported by the city's municipality of Palilula, Pantelej and Niska Banja, arranged Safari Club Nis, is the crew of "Nesic elektroniks". Vice-champion of this year's Regatta is the combined crew of "South Morava 2" and Municipality of Palilula, and third place went to the crew "Srle". Stock stages of the speed safari regatta, from D.Vrežina Amphitheatre on the quay at the Youth Centre, 5 kilometers long, competitors crossed in less than an hour. Most successful teams of the competition were awarded with trophies and all participants in the race were served with fish soup.

The race in the first part went from the village Prosek to Donja Vrezina, and it had revue character. Program of the 18th Nisava race, which is designed for lovers of boats, the river and open air, brought together more than 30 teams with over 200 participants, said Vlastimir Stanojevic, president of Safari Club Nis. In this section, of downhill Nisava with a distance of ten kilometers, in addition to Niska Banja, Brzi Brod, Mediana, and Vrežina, the most successful was the team of Municipality of Palilula with the president of the municipality, Boban Džunić.

Organizers of the "Nisavska Regata", which has the longest experience in Serbia, in the interest of safety of participants, strictly applied the defined rules of the competition and enabled the participation of only those crews that were at the start of the village Prosek, and that had the necessary equipment for this sport activity: real rubber boat with paddles, and safety equipment to stay on the river.
